Over
the past few years, there has been a surge in interest in green school
design. As more school boards demand that their school designers incorporate
sustainable features, there has been a rapidly growing number of architectural
and engineering firms seeking knowledge in these fields. Because
of Innovative Design's extensive background in sustainable school design,
we have had the opportunity to work with a multitude of firms located
throughout the country, to assist in evaluating and designing sustainable design
features.
As part of the consulting work, we have been using daylighting analysis software ( Daylite, Daysim ) and energy modeling software ( DOE-2 ) to accurately evaluate building designs for a variety of commercial projects throughout the country.
