Lack of short-wavelength light during the school day delays dim light melatonin onset (DLMO) in middle school students

A recent study by the Lighting Research Center at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York shows the effect of daylighting on student performance. The study suggests that the lack of early morning sunlight is disturbing sleep patterns in school children and teenagers.

The Northwest North Carolina Visitors Center
opened its doors to the public on October 1, 2009. Designed by Innovative Design, this is North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT)'s first "sustainable" building, targeted to achieve a LEED Gold rating.
